“Trump again confirms his ignorance of Iran & region. Everyone knows where he stands; and it’s certainly not with Iranians. His ‘virtuous’, ‘democratically-elected’ clients in our region may cheer, but not those on receiving end of their tyranny & weapons, incl [including] the Yemeni children,” Zarif wrote in a Twitter message released on Wednesday.
In a relevant Twitter message earlier, the Iranian foreign minister had reacted to the US administration’s against Iran concerning arming the popular forces of Yemen.
“A while ago the US showed a Saudi-supplied Iranian missile intact. They must’ve been told a missile destroyed by a Patriot does not land fully assembled. So now the US shows UNSC missile fragments w/[with] Iranian Standard Institute logo, as on our foodstuffs. Try fabricating ‘evidence’ again,” Zarif said.
“The ISIRI [Institute of Standards and Industrial Research of Iran] seal is a measure of quality for Iranian consumer goods. But sadly for Trump & Co, we don’t put it on missile parts,” he added.
The Iranian foreign minister reiterated that its time for some to do a better job of fabricating.
The US envoy to UN Nikki Haley on Dec 14, 2017 appeared standing before what she claimed was debris of an Iranian-origin missile shipped to Yemen and then fired to Saudi Arabia.
