DUHOK — Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) forces overnight Monday opened fire at two Yezidi young men near Sinjar, killing one and injuring the other, an official said.

The killed civilian is identified as Marwan Murad, said Waisi Nayif, head of Sinjar local administration, noting that they had refused PKK’s order to join them in Afrin battle.

The injured one is said to have been transferred to a nearby hospital.

Both the victims are from Gir Uzeir.
